They say that behind every great band is a lot of sweat, tears, and determination, and these guys are no different. Coming from a wide variety of backgrounds, these guys joined forces to put their own spin on alternative Texas country, with a little Southern rock thrown in there for good measure. Complex harmonies and melodies, along with a driving beat and a little Texas twang, make 121 North a band you can't help but want to listen to. Playing with well-known artists such as Johnny Cooper, Wade Bowen, and Stoney Larue, 121 North has a widespread fan base in cities and towns all over Northern Texas. They have played in venues as far east as Marshall, and as far north as Denison, but their biggest venue to date is Gilley's in Dallas.
When 80 Proof hit the Texas Country Music Circuit in 2003. they operated off one standard; Good Music makes Good Fans. This standard holds true today and everyday. The 80 Proof Band is made up of very diverse singer/songwriters who all come from different backgrounds in music. They easily blend the popular styles to come up with one distinct and different sound. It's very easy to get lost in the melodies of such ballads as "Crazy Dreams" and "December Rain". and then to rock out to the sounds of "Throw Away the Key" and "I'm Alright".

But a year ago, the music nearly stopped for this lone star legend from Amarillo, Texas. Watson and his wife lost their newest daughter, Julia Grace, just shortly after her birth. And this man, who lives and breathes his craft, fell silent.
